It’s the art style that made me watch this anime but when I started watching it I was surprised to see there was way more than that. I love how they overcome there social insecurities and open up more. The haiku aspect of this movie is so fun and I’ve never seen a movie that could capture the sense of social media so well. A really good time and super cute overall.Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop 2021.

LOVE CAN ALWAYS BE A SIGN, IF YES, HOW?After meeting one bright, sunny day, a shy boy who expresses himself through haiku and a bubbly but self-conscious girl share a brief, magical summer.Words and music bridge the gap between Cherry, a boy who is terrible at communicating with other people, and Smile, a girl who hides behind a mask. They meet in a mundane suburban shopping mall in a provincial city. Cherry always wears headphones and puts the feelings he cannot utter into his hobby, Japanese haiku poems. Smile always wears a mask to conceal her large front teeth, for which she has dental braces. As a popular video star, she streams a video about seeking “cuteness.”It’s March 2020, and I’m headed to the offices of film distributor Shochiku to speak with Kyohei Ishiguro about his new animated film, “Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop.” I’ve been asked to wear a mask while conducting the interview, a first for me. Arriving a few minutes early, I take a walk through Tsukiji fish market, which is eerily quiet — a month earlier, I would’ve been pushing through throngs of tourists. At this point, the film’s release date of May 15, 2020, is still on, with the hope that this whole COVID-19 situation will blow over by then.

Of course, things did not work out that way.
