It is the fifth installment of CBI film series.CBI 5 The Brain revolves around an investigation which is considered as the most difficult case in the career of Sethurama Iyer. The story revolves around a basket killing of several people connected to each other.The soundtrack and score is composed by Jakes Bejoy in his first collaboration with Mammootty. The audio rights for the film were bought by Saina.
