Raangi (transl. A headstrong woman) is an 2022 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by M. Saravanan and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film stars Trisha in the leading role.[1] The film’s music composed by C Sathya, while cinematography and editing is handled by K. A. Sakthivel and M Subarak respectively.[2][3][4] The film was released theatrically on 30 December 2022.[5] The film received mixed reviews but was moderately successful.Thaiyal Nayagi is an online channel reporter, who lives with her brother, sister-in-law and her niece Sushmita. One day, Thaiyal finds out that a fake Facebook account on Sushmita’s name is in talks with a person named Aalim, who works with a terrorist organisation in Tunisia. As Thaiyal gets involved in it, it causes trouble for her and Sushmita, where she is arrested. Later, the FBI decides to use Thaiyal and Sushmita as bait in order to lure Aalim and bring him into their custody.The film was tentatively titled as Trisha61. On 20 April 2019, the title was announced to be Raangi.[6] The shooting of the film was wrapped up on 12 February 2020.[7]The music of the film is composed by C. Sathya which marks his third collaboration with M.
