Pets in Indian movies or shows, barring a few exceptions, are largely relegated to just being there in the frame, or to add some amount of comic element. However, writer-director Dnyanesh Zoting (known for the Marathi film Rakshas) turns this setup on its head by making pets the centre of the story in Pet Puraan.Pet Puraan Season 1 Download. The six-episode long series features Buddy (aka Vyanku the dog) and Banku (aka Baku the cat), with their humans Aditi (Sai Tamhankar) and Atul (Lalit Prabhakar).Medically Yourrs Season 1 Download
Aditi and Atul are happily married and doing well for themselves in life. While they may be confused at times on smaller things, one thing that they both are clear about is that they don’t want to have kids. But they are constantly pressurised into considering the option of becoming parents by their family’s typical expectations. When Aditi’s younger sister Anjali is expecting, this pressure increases. Aditi has a moment of wavering and considers if becoming parents would at least shut the family up. But watching their friends dealing with hyperactive kids brings them back to reality. They don’t hate kids; they just don’t want to be parents to a kid. So, they embark on another journey, one that’s equally challenging, but different. Pet parenting! If you are a pet parent, chances are that you have at least witnessed, if not encountered, each situation in Pet Puraan. From being in two minds about taking responsibility, to fostering a pet to know if you can take a step forward, to bringing a pet home, learning about their habits, falling in love with them, and preferring to chill with them over your friends; there’s a lot that pet parents can identify with. And all this is beautifully presented over the course of this series by Zoting and team. All the likely characters that a pet parent may come across are also included in the show – be it an animal activist, breeder, rescuer, the animal-hating neighbour or the clueless authorities.
