You know the feeling you might get that every song has been done, and new ones are just paying tribute to the old ones? We get that feeling about TV series sometimes. But it doesn’t seem like a recycled plot is paying tribute to a classic, just a show that we vaguely remember from years ago. A new Australian series on Peacock immediately reminded us of something we’ve seen before. And now they have to figure out where they’re going to find another pastor.Irreverent Season 1 Download
In Chicago, Paulo (Colin Donnell), who works as a mediator between organized crime families, is making a rendezvous with a rival family, with money from Lorenzo (Steve Mouzakis) the other family’s boss, as compensation for killing the rival family’s men. But when Lorenzo’s son arrives and starts shooting, Paulo grabs the money and leaves right after bashing Lorenzo’s son in the head to make the shooting stop.
Knowing that Lorenzo is now going to be after him for not just killing his son but for the money, Paulo tries to get as far away as he can. On his flight to Australia, he sits next to Reverend Mackenzie “Mack” Boyd (P.J. Byrne), whose wife decided to leave him right before they moved to a new gig in Clump, Queensland. Mack talks Paulo’s ear off, and then starts sobbing in his whiskey when they run into each other at the same hotel.
