It certainly has things going for it when it comes to Bengali movie-goers starved of coming-of-age movies. If Kaushik Ganguly’s last outing on screen was anything to go by, “Rangmilanti” will certainly come across as a very different film. The film is a light-hearted comedy about a girl’s indecision when she has to choose her life partner from four of her friends — Rik (Gaurav), Tito (Indrasish), DJ (Gourab) and Laden (Tanaji). The innovative format of presentation and the feel-good factor ensure that the film makes the movie an entertaining watch.Rang Milanti 2011 Movie Download.
However, this is not to say that “Rangmilanti” doesn’t have much for the audience to take back home. Besides the fun associated with the concept of a modern-day swayamvar of Kamalika (Riddhima), the film still manages to drive home certain basic points about the problems faced by contemporary couples that make it so challenging to maintain rock-solid relationships and marriages.Rang Milanti 2011 Movie Download.
While Kamalika begins to play 10 games with her four friends on various parameters that are essential for fostering a marital bond, none of her friends are aware of them being marked on a scale of 10. As the movie unfolds, the characters play innovative games with equally interesting names (taken from movies such as “Amanush”, “Asukh”, “Father”, “Lathi”, “Kapurush-O-Mahapurush”). Peppered by smart and witty dialogues, the games become quite interesting even as they also leave room for viewers to introspect on where they themselves might be going right or wrong in their own relationships. Almost mirroring the audience’s emotions is the presence of Kamalika’s sister, actor Kamalini (Churni) who is on the verge of a divorce from her husband (Saswata) and also into a relationship with adman Prakash (Riingo).
