It stars Anish Tejeshwar and Nishvika Naidu.^[3][4] The movie marks the directorial debut of Anish Tejeshwar and the second time he has paired with the lead actress.^[5][6]Ram is an insurance agent living in a slum area. There have been a lot of expectations from Ramarjuna not only for it being Aniissh’s directorial debut but also for it kickstarting the year-long fest of bigger Kannada releases on screens once again. The film is akin to the commercial entertainers one sees in the Telugu industry and proves to be a fun, one-time watch if pucca commercial cinema is your taste.What is Ramarjuna about? Well, for most of its duration you get to see a cutesy love story and some emotional drama. But, with fights being thrown in periodically in good measure just like the songs, the film clearly establishes itself as the commercial drama that aims to entertain the mass audiences.What works for Ramarjuna are its comic and romantic scenes, as well as the fights. Nishvika aces with her comic timing, surely making her one of the most promising talents in her generation. Aniissh owns the fight sequences and there are ample ones for him to show his prowess. Also impressive in the film are Rangayana Raghu, Harish Raj and Giri Shivanna. The cinematography deserves a special mention too. Editing could have been a little tighter and seamless.Ramarjuna is a fun commercial entertainer if you’re in the mood for one. There might be a fight too many, which could have been cut down. But what needs to be seen is the climax, which is quite pertinent in more ways than one in today’s scenario. Aniish makes a promising debut as a filmmaker.
