Katakuti is a 2011 Indian Bengali costume drama, drama, family film released on Dec 02, 2011. The film is directed by Premangshu Roy, produced by Sudipto Roy Chowdhury.Katakuti – a game of relationships is about Piklu, a medical student, in love with his childhood friend Swati. Swati is also in love with Piklu, but she wants to marry a more settled man, Jack to ensure a better future for herself. Jack is an engineer in the US and belongs to an influential family who prove Piklu as mentally unstable and he is sent to a mental hospital. The film is a very humane tale right from the beginning showing the other side of some particular individuals like Dr.Sudesna, a psychiatrist at a mental asylum .She is considered to be different from other doctors in dealing with patients and one particular patient Piklu, a young medical student who loses sanity after his childhood love dumps him, catches her attention. She even brings him home much to the disgust of her family members barring her sister-in-law.Piklu manages to unite everyone in the end with his rational behaviour.
