HIT: The Second Case is an Indian Telugu-language mystery thriller slasher film written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu.[1] The second installment to HIT: The First Case (2020) in The HIT Universe, the film stars Adivi Sesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Rao Ramesh in pivotal roles. Ram Prasad Koduri is a good samaritan, who treats his neighbors with respect. One day he finds out that his wife is having an illicit affair, he breaks down. After few days, his wife files wrongful marital rape charges against him and tarnishes his reputation.Present, Krishna Dev ‘K. D.’ is a police officer in the Andhra Pradesh CID, where he works in the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT), in Visakhapatnam. He is a sharp and arrogant person, who solves crucial cases with his ability to capture even the smallest of details, at a quick pace, thus earning the trust of his senior, DGP Nageswara Rao.

One day, he is assigned to investigate the brutal murder of a woman named Sanjana, in the kitchen of a bar. Much to K. D.’s and the team’s shock, they find that the killer mixed multiple severed body parts of different women, along with Sanjana’s severed head. Whether K. D. nabs the killer and learns about his motives, before he commits another murder, forms the rest of the plot.After the success of HIT: The First Case, Nani announced a sequel in February 2021, one year after the film’s release.[6] Sailesh Kolanu who directed the first film of the franchise would be directing this. Adivi Sesh has replaced Vishwak Sen in the sequel.[7] Nani wanted the franchise to be “concept oriented” rather than “star oriented,” so he moved the setting from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh and chose Sesh as the protagonist.[8] Meenakshi Chaudhary was cast opposite Sesh.
