Drishya was a sincere remake of Drishyam, which ensured Ravichandran, who now goes by the name V Ravichandra, is back at the helm of business. After the good reviews that Drishyam 2 won in Malayalam, it was but natural that the remakes would follow in other languages too, including Kannada. The remake stays faithful to Jeethu Joseph’s original, with some good, new names being roped in.Rajendra Ponnappa and his family became household names, with the good reception of Drishya. In Drishya 2, the clever and shrewd patriarch is back to safeguarding his family, as there is a possibility of skeletons from their closet tumbling out, quite literally. The story, like the Malayalam original, takes its sweet time to establish the new faces in the first half, which might make it seem slow. But, the second half is filled with action and that makes up for everything.Drishya 2 2021 Movie Download.

What works for Drishya 2 is the casting, which has some good additions. Be it Lasya Nagaraj, Sonu Gowda, Krishna Hebbale, Pramod Shetty or the affable Anant Nag, all of them fit perfectly and lift the narrative. Additionally, Ravichandra is in top form and seamlessly slips into Rajendra Ponnappa’s character. In fact, the dialogues, which have some for the frontbenchers, alluding to his career and films, are entertaining.

Navya Nair and Aarohi Narayan are commendable too. Asha Sharath returns and ensures one cannot take one’s eyes off her in each scene. Prabhu and Shivaram play their parts well. However, one wonders if Sadhu Kokila’s bit is over the top.Drishya 2 is a good attempt and technically sound, thanks to the topnotch technical crew. Only, one wonders if the remake is a little too faithful, leading to comparisons with the original, which was released only recently.
